No more jars of pasta sauce

I have been making healthier alternatives to spaghetti dinners. I no longer buy the jars of pasta sauce that are ready made. Instead, I make my own in the food processor. Here is one recipe for sauce that came out awesome:
1 can of no salt added tomatoes
4 roma tomatoes
2 tbsp of dill weed
2 tbsp of oregano
a few slices of red onion
drizzles of olive oil

After blending, you can heat it on the stovetop, but I chose not to. It went great with the pasta noodles that are made from spinach. Mmmmm.

  2. That sounds awesome. I would never think to put dill in.

I stopped using canned sauce too, mostly because I thought it was gross. I can't believe how sweet canned sauces taste now that I make my own sauce.

Anyway, here is my favorite recipe. The lemon zest makes it taste so amazing.
